Institutional Testing ( Reading and Listening CBT )

To participate in institutional testing, test takers must be currently enrolled in the school or organization’s program to be registered.

CBT (Computer Based Testing) is an examination method in which the test is administered using your school’s or organization’s computer or tablet. In addition to selecting answers with the mouse, examinees are required to type their name and examination number on the keyboard.

  • Test Date: Schools/institutions may select a test date that is the most convenient for them.
  • Number of Test Takers: A minimum of 5 test takers are required for groups interested in taking the TOEFL Junior ® or TOEFL Primary ® Step 1 and Step 2 tests.

  • Test Fee: Please contact GC&T Sales Department; by e-mail. toefl_info@kumon.co.jp
  • Test Center: Follow the selection guidelines in the Administration Manual. Test center certification will need to be conducted by GC&T prior to approval.
  • Notification of Results:
    About 10 working days after we receive all your test materials and complete test taker information, you will be able to access your group’s unofficial test scores on the GC&T website.
    About 20 working days after we receive all your test materials and complete test taker information we will send you the official score report and score guide (Japanese version).
  • Test Applicants: All test takers in your group must belong to the school or organization to qualify for the test.

To administer the TOEFL Primary ® Step 1 and Step 2 tests and the TOEFL Junior ® Standard test in a group at your institution, please register your group information on the TOEFL ® Internet Service for Group Testing (also known as “Group My Page”).

The venue for the test must be reviewed in advance. Please check the venue checklist on your ‘Group My Page’, and prepare one to three pictures of the venue. You will be notified if your application has been approved by email within 3 business days after applying for the venue screening

In case of cancellation, a cancellation fee will be charged.

Test Materials

Based on your application, we will send you the test materials and the Administration Manual.
An English version of the Administration Manual can be downloaded from ‘Group My Page’.

Please return the materials within one week of completion of the test.
If returned materials are insufficient or do not include all of the necessary test taker information, test results may be delayed.

About 5 Working Days After Arrival of Materials

Issue score report and send invoice

Score roster (list of results), official score report to be given to examinees, and official score report to be sent to the organization along with the invoice.

Based on the invoice you receive, please make a transfer to the designated bank by the last day of the month following the invoice date.
